Windy Sunday; the Bears orange jerseys have to go!

Today's 20 mile walk was done in lots of sunshine and tons of wind. I had planned on doing 15 but kept going as it was such a pretty day.

At times, I really do feel as if we liberals ARE out of touch with society at large. I know that I am. That is why a candidate that looks good to me is probably not going to win.

I am watching the Bears vs. 49'ers game on TV. The wind is really affecting things; it is unusual to see two consecutive muffed punts (both teams) in an NFL game. It is also weird to see a missed field goal returned for a touchdown. It is 17-9 Bears with 7 minutes left, but given how woefully inept the 49'ers are on offense (the defense is competent), the lead looks safe. For example, the Bears fumbled a punt and gave the ball to the 49'ers at the 3. Two plays later, the 49'rs had third down at the Bears 1 yard line. Then the 49'ers got two consecutive penalties before the ball was snapped! The first one was a 12 man on the field penalty; the next one was delay of game. At least they got a field goal.

So I am glad that the Bears are going to win; but those orange jerseys have to go. Yeah, they are "pretty", but they just don't look like the Bears when they wear them.
